The internet is full or web sites both good and bad, it is very important to evaluate the quality of the websites before introducing them to kids as Educational websites . Every site has to be evaluated critically for the content, design, and educational value of the website.

Criteria for Evaluating Educational Websites -

1) Publishing Organization - The Educational website should clearly indicate which organization is responsible for publishing the content on website. The educational website must make an address available for further information and questions concerning the site's information and content.

2) Design - The second most important point to consider while evaluating educational website is its design. The educational website should be easy to navigate through out the site. All links should be clearly marked and self-explanatory making navigation intuitive. All the links should be working and up-to-date, all supporting pages should have a link back to the site's main page. Most importantly the text on the site is easily readable.

3) Content - No doubt the content of the educational website has to be the next most important feature in an Educational Website . Any educational website should be free of spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, syntax errors, or typos. The educational website promotes equal and just representations of racial, gender, and religious issues. The content on educational website should be informative and the educational website contains a wealth of informative content.

4) Educational website should be easily accessible, should not take a long time to load, the graphics should be relevant to the subject and the educational website should always be up-to-date.
